Day of Giving!

Many of you already know about the tradition that started several years ago that has evolved into the Day of Giving on November 20th each year.
It actually started when my friends, Steve Towns and Laura Tersigni, designated a day in my honour. What started out as a fun-joke, has turned into a magical day to focus on giving.
There are many ways to participate on November 20th of each year such as; volunteering your time, making a donation, hugging someone, opening a door for someone...or my favourite..paying for the person behind you in the drive thru.
You can also sponsor a child through World Vision or other organizations. World Vision also have an amazing Gift Catalogue where you can send meaningful gifts to families/children in need (even in Canada). There are so many ways to give. (see below)
Of course you don't have to wait until November 20th to give...you can give a little bit every day. The idea of having a day designated for giving is to remind us to share the abundance that we have the honour of living in every day. I encourage you to take some time out today and especially on November 20th to give in your own special way.
Be sure to give...and have fun while doing so!
Thank you.

Hi again!
A great way to give and make a diference is through sponsorship. We sponsor a little boy named Aldi in Indonesia. We write to each other on a regular basis. He recently sent me a photo of his family and it brought tears to my eyes. They have become our extended family. We don't speak the same language (translators from World Vision help with the letters), but that doesn't matter. The language of Love is worldwide and I truly love this little boy and his family whom I have never met...yet. We are connected to him and are committed to helping him and his family live fuller lives. I highly recommend sponsoring a child today. It will change the life of a child and possibly your own!

Another great way to give is through the World Vision Catalogue. We gave gifts to those in need in the names of family members and friends for Christmas; hens and a rooster, toys, books and sports equipment, mosquito nets and funding to send a girl to school. There are lots of choices. You can even give to those in your own community.
